Sponge Cake

Chocolate Sponge Cake
ingredients
(a)
4 egg yolks
20g sugar
(b)
4 egg whites
(c)
100g sugar
(d)
95g flour
15g cocoa powder
(e)
70g melted butter(hot) or vegetable oil

methods
1) Whip (b) unitl soft peaks form. Add (c) gradually and continue whipping until stiff.
2) Whip (a) until light and fluffy.
3) Combine (b) and (a).
4) Sieve in (d) and well combined.
5) Fold in (e) and gently mix it with a rubber spatula.
6) Pour it into 8" round cake tin.
7) Bake at 190c for 15 minutes.
8) Remove the cake from the pan immediately when done.


Vanilla Sponge Cake

(a)

1/4 tsp vanilla essence
(b)
4 egg whites
(c)
100g sugar
(d)
110g flour
(e)
70g melted butter(hot) or vegetable oil

methods

1) Whip (b) unitl soft peaks form. Add (c) gradually and continue whipping until stiff.
2) Whip (a) until light and fluffy.
3) Combine (b) and (a).
4) Sieve in (d) and well combined.
5) Fold in (e) and gently mix it with a rubber spatula.
