My Thought in baking

i'm a typical chinese girl who like to bake and cook. i learnt how to cook since i'm a little girl. I always be my aunty's helper when she did her baking at kitchen. She usually order me to whisk the butter and sugar for her as she is not using the electric mixer to whisk the mixture. i have learnt some basic baking techniques from her such as always whisking the mixture in one direction, add in one egg into the mixture at one times, sieve the flour before add into the mixture and so on. i belived that my interest on baking was started from that moment.

Nowadays, our lifestyles have been changed. Children are not allow or no need to work at house chores as they have "kakak" at home. i would said that parent should encourage and assign their children to work in the kitchen, so that they got the opportunity to explore and develop their skills in various fields.

As being a teacher for 4 years, i got to know one of my male student, he likes to bake during his free time. He has a good hobby as he is not spending their time to play computer game. I have a god sister who never learn to cook until she has decided to study oversea. By that time, she started to learn how to fry egg and cook rice. In her family, she got about three "kakak" to do the house chores for them. Therefore, it is good that if parent could let their children to be a helper in the kitchen.
